About

Values
I have always considered volunteering to be valuable time spent supporting a cause that you have a passion for. My own personal drive to make a difference has led me to volunteer for numerous organisations in a variety of roles. These experiences have steered me to take a professional interest in volunteer management, where I have worked with several organisations to establish efficient management systems and innovative practices to support with volunteer recruitment, retention and engagement.

Experience
I have worked in the charity sector for 16 years, and I am extremely knowledgeable around the various volunteer management systems that are in the market today. I have supported organisations to review and redesign their processes, improving the volunteer experience while creating meaningful efficiencies for their teams.

I have led the discovery, tender and successful implementation of a VMS at both Barnardo's and Make-A-Wish UK. I am currently the Volunteering Systems Lead at Guide Dogs UK.

At Barnardo's, I led the deployment of Assemble to over 14,000 volunteers in over 750 different shops/services. This included integrations with Moodle (eLearning).

At Make-A-Wish UK, I led the deployment of Assemble to over 400 volunteers across the UK. This included integrations with TalentLMS (eLearning) and Salesforce (CRM).

I keep up-to-date with the latest developments across the sector, understanding how the features of each system can contribute to a positive volunteer experience.

Colleague
If we meet virtually, I may be joined by my colleague Jasper! He is my orange-roan working cocker spaniel, who likes to keep a close eye on me whilst I work - although most of the time he is curled up asleep.

In my spare time, you will find us competing at various agility shows across the Midlands.
